Yep, I’m a meditation teacher

I’m also a mum of two wonderful humans, I’m a volunteer wildlife rescuer and someone who loves walking in the forest listening to the crunch of leaves underfoot, the sounds of scrub wrens being cheeky, hidden amongst the unfurled bracken, and the sound of the heavy thump thumps of a wallaby I’ve accidentally startled with my presence.

Once upon a time I was a corporate career climbing go-getter. I loved the thrill of solving complex challenges and negotiating multi-million dollar deals. What I didn’t realise until too late, was the cost of this performing, of the never-ending trying to do better.

The only kind of climbing I do these days is bouldering and I absolutely love it.

I’ve been practising meditation since trying to conceive our first child. Meditation supported me through pre-conception, pregnancy and mindfulness made it’s way into my life, big time, when my second bubba arrived.

I use meditation, mindfulness, yoga nidra and forest bathing to support my return to me. I drift back into old thought patterns and it’s these practices that help me be in the present moment, and give me the capacity to choose my next actions, rather than being wound-up in old patterns and behaviours.

My recent diagnosis of AuDHD has absolutely supported me to lean even deeper into my meditation, mindfulness and rest practices.

It is from these life experiences that I curate my guidance for meditation sessions. And it is the returning to these practices, and recreating them, that brings me back to me, and supports me to support others to connect with what is so easily lost in the busyness of day-to-day life.

If any of this resonates, or you feel you’d like to start meditating, I’d love to support you on your meditation journey. Feel free to get in touch, listen to one of my free meditations or come along to an upcoming event.
